Who we are
Roger Fry and Co began media training in 1970, and has since trained more than 30,000 people in Australia and overseas. Over the years, we have expanded our range of courses - reflecting the interest of our principal consutant, Roger Fry, in the application of recent psychological research to the field of communication.
What we do
Roger Fry & Co provides training programs and advice to government and private sector clients, and to professional and community organisations.
Apart from our "head office" presence in Melbourne, we have had continuous work in Canberra for nearly 20 years - working at one time or other for many government departments and agencies in the federal capital.
Our courses help people communicate better - and we're talking about all kinds of people and many types of communication.
Clients have included senior executives or board members from seven of the top 10 listed companies in Australia, plus politicians and public servants, members of the judiciary, community leaders, senior representatives from the major professions. Thousands of middle management executives have also become better communicators through our courses.
Our areas of expertise are the media, public speaking and presentation skills, meetings and negotiations, briefing, writing and intuition.
While each course contains set material, it is adapted to suit the specific needs of the participants. We use easy-to-do experiential techniques where possible, and practical exercises that reflect clients' real-life situations.
The programs have been developed through a mix of our first hand experience, research and programs in Australia and overseas. The courses are presented by certified trainers, all of whom have been senior professionals in their fields. Our trainers run the courses in a relaxed, entertaining and informative way, and offer constructive advice on how to make the most of the concepts and skills in the programs.
Courses are conducted at clients' premises or at commercial venues.
