Media Post Mortem
By Arrangement
Service Description
This is one of the few services of its type available in Australia. We analyse what has gone wrong in specific media situations:
- Media releases that didn't get used.
- Coverage which misrepresented a release or an interview with a journalist.
- News grabs that were unfavourable.
- Unfair editing.
- The media 'ambush.'
Clients refer to examples of coverage they were not happy with, and each of these case studies is the subject of a stage-by-stage audit to see what could be done differently to minimise problems in the future.
The service gives public relations people and others who deal with the media a chance to step out of their day-to-day work and learn from unsatisfactory coverage ? rather than simply rushing into the next project and possibly repeating any mistakes.
Who Will Benefit?
- Anyone in media relations or PR work who wants to be more successful in obtaining better media coverage.
- Interviewees who did not like the way their interview turned out.
- Anyone who has looked at the TV news or the morning newspaper to see what their coverage was, and has gone "Oh, no, no...!"
