While most of our programs are arranged for specific clients, we will be holding two 'mixed group' training seminars this year. If these dates do not suit you,we are always able to arrange an in house course for you, providing you have a minimum of three participants.
Handling the Media

The course not only tells you all you want to know about the media, but gives practical coaching in how to get your pro-active message across in various media situations. We demonstrate that the most frequent media need is not a question-and-answer interview but a statement of a one sentence prepared quote.
Participants learn in a careful step-by-step series of lectures, demonstrations and discussions before preparing and doing their own practical exercises. They retain DVD recordings of their work for future reference.
The course includes our widely copied MBE answer format - which is also a valuable tool in non-media question and answer situations.

Speech Writing
This course has already proved extremely popular in Brisbane. It has been appreciated by corporate relations people and speechwriters from state government agencies, and from the burgeoning resources industry in the state.
The presenter is Richenda Rudman, a professional speechwriter, who combines her knowledge of the skills required with the ability to pass these skills on to course participants.
The one-day program is a blend of lectures, discussions and practical tasks. We show how to work from even the briefest of briefings - to do research efficiently, to plan a theme, map out a simple structure, and then how to write the script. We believe that writing a good speech is just as much an exercise in project management as it is in grandiloquent phrase making.
The course will help you to save time in writing, and to produce texts which are genuinely appreciated by the speakers.
