Seminars - Canberra 2008
While most of our programs are arranged for specific clients, we do hold some 'mixed group' training seminars. These are listed below, however a strong option is always to form your own in house group - requiring a minimum of three people.
Handling the Media
For many years this has been our flagship program in Canberra. We have worked with most government agencies at some stage, and have trained politicans of all hues from the Federal and ACT governments.
Almost all courses are conducted in house for confidentiality reasons. However we will be offering the program on a mixed-group basis once during 2008. If numbers get too large, we will organise an overflow session.
Dates: Friday July 11, Thursday July 17

Speech Writing
Our program delivers two key outcomes - better speeches, and quicker results.
This is one of the few courses available in Australia in this specialised and difficult form of writing. It is a one-day program devised by a highly experienced ministerial staff member, and presented by a professional speechwriter, Richenda Rudman. The teaching is supplemented by an extensive manual on hoiw to write speeches.
Participants are invited to bring their own topic to use in their supervised practical work in preparing and outlining a speech.
The program also has a follow-up consultancy service, offered free of charge for six months, under which participants can check out ideas, outlines and draft speeches with our speechwriters.
Date: Thursday July 10

The Psychology of Communication (two day course)
A special program developed from recent findings in psychology and neuroscience that apply to communication. The program features language use, non-verbal communication, and an examination of our rationality and belief systems and how they affect our behaviour. The courses ends with a discussion on ethical issues in communication.
Recent courses have won high praise - one participant described it as "better than my university course" and another said it was one of the rare training offerings which had new, practical value for senior or experienced managers.
Dates: Arranged in conjunction with intending participants.
